Casa Ka Mari is a happy story anchored on relationships:
of a father who loved an institution and wanted to share this love to his family;
of friends, from childhood who wanted to build a home to share, as a testament to this enduring friendship;
of a husband who gifted his wife a place before he passed away, where his friends and children can gather to remember him fondly;
of brothers embarking on a journey outside their comfort zone;
of a leader who wanted his community not only to find livelihood, but to see their full potential in delivering superiority and excellence.
How it all started...
Casa Ka Mari started as an advocacy to help the Gawad Kalinga - Enchanted Farm movers to bring a refreshed concept to the farm estate after the pandemic.
The goal is to fuel the renewed interest for the place and continue its efforts in providing livelihood for community members.
Like-minded individuals were invited to make the concept come to life through the farm house and farm initiatives around the area. The project pre-opened in July 31, 2024.
As of today, the house has been refurbished to offer stays for groups looking for a perfect venue for bonding and engagement. Community members have been tapped to provide hospitality services which led to the ambitious program called PREMIUM RURAL CARE, which aims to elevate rural hospitality to world class hospitality service, that is distinctly Filipino in its warmth and care.
PREMIUM RURAL CARE is envisioned to be a non-professional service technique that draws out sterling performance of care & assistance from community folks characterized by kindness, warmth, concern, thoughtfulness and attentiveness from a genuine consideration of state, condition or circumstance of a family member, a close friend or a neighbor.
It is the innate and authentic rural hospitality from countryside communities.
A genuine expression of familial or neighborly care that reflects Filipino traditions of malasakit and bayanihan.
For Casa Ka Mari & GK Enchanted Farm, it is a purposeful endeavour to tailor-fit rural community strengths and skills set to a hospitality service culture and operations framework to generate jobs for the community folks.
